We had a great time raising money for a children’s hospital in Uganda. Pupils took part In an obstacle course at the Sports Centre in the morning and then Sharon and Gillian from Kippie Lodge led us in some fun aerobic dance moves in the afternoon. So far we have raised £327! Thank you to everyone who donated..

The Enterprise Group have been preparing for Archie in Africa Day. They have been planning an obstacle course for all the classes to enjoy at the Sports Centre. Fitness staff from Kippie Lodge will also be coming to teach the classes an aerobic style dance. It should be a fun and active way to raise money for a great cause. All children are asked to bring a donation to participate in the activities on Friday.

The ARCHIE Foundation is delighted to have helped twin the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital with children’s services at the Mulago and Naguru Hospitals in Kampala, Uganda.

The money Culter raise will help the charity to create an incredible new operating theatre and children’s ward in Kampala. You can read more at http://www.archieinafrica.org.uk/

We had a visitor from Kippie Lodge telling us how to advertise things better. Her name was Nicky Caldwell and she was in charge of marketing for Kippie Lodge. She suggested we design a logo for the enterprise group. We chose Tom Mannion’s logo and Nicky took it away and designed it on the computer.

We have decided to fundraise for The Archie’s Foundation’s appeal for Africa on Friday 27th March (Archie in Africa Day). We will run a fun obstacle course in the Sports Centre in the morning and Nicky is supplying aerobics teachers to run dance classes in the Hall in the afternoon. We are going to ask people to give a donation to attend.

Welcome to the Enterprise Pupil Voice Group page.

Enterprise Pupil Voice is split in to two groups, one with Mrs Chalmers/Mrs Davies and the other with Mrs Black. The children selected the pupil voice group they wished to join and each group has a range of P1 to P7 pupils in it.

We had our first meeting at the end of September 2014 where we elected office bearers – chairperson, minute secretary and publicist. Everyone was full of ideas as to how to take the group forward.

What we have achieved so far:

  • Promotional work and tickets for Christmas concert designed by Mrs Black’s group,
  • Christmas Shoebox Appeal organised by Mrs Chalmers’/Mrs Davies’ group. We collected 150 shoeboxes full of Christmas gifts for Eastern European orphans.
  • World Book Day Thursday 5th March – book swap. Children bring in their old books 3rd and 4th March and receive a ticket for each book which they can redeem against other donated books on the day.

ARCHIE in Africa Day – Friday 27th March – the group will organise fundraising activities on this day to raise money for a children’s hospital in Uganda.
